Customer Need:

Prospects are facing financial or logistical barriers to providing regulatory-compliant sewage treatment to serve a development project or to replace or supplement existing treatment infrastructure.

Challenges:

Lack of proximity to existing “big pipe” collection system

Insufficient capacity at the serving treatment plant

Immediate capacity requirements

Limited space, an out-of-compliance treatment system

High cost and potential delays of stick-build construction

Need for permeate that’s suitable quality for reuse or direct discharge

BioGene System Technology

Modular BioGene System uses the proprietary process in a flexible-film, aerated system utilizing the principles of attached and suspended growth with the ability to nitrify/denitrify. It is also able to be installed below/above ground or above building

BioGene Process

Three key treatment process components form the heart of the BioGenic Process:

Superior Biological Oxidation – from high concentration of Microbes

Membrane Separation – Precise positive separation

Ozone Disinfection – Achieves >99% pathogen removal

Sewage from the sump enters bioreactor. Here, sewage encounters microbes in suspension with higher surface area-to-volume ratio, which oxidises the contaminants effectively. The membrane barrier separates treated water from sludge, retaining microbes in the bioreactor. This prevents washing out the microbial population and hence enhances the performance of biological process. Permeate from membrane is infused with ozone for effective disinfection. Due to the high concentration of microbes in bioreactor and precise membrane separation, BioGene System produces treated water that is significantly better than a traditional biological system and meets reuse standards consistently.

Key Benefits of Biogene System

BioGene Systems as the solutions for the new STP and retrofitting non-performing STP, offers benefits such as small footprint utilising existing treatment plant site / footprint and its operation is both, flexible and stable

Flexible Application

Designed for replacing existing septic or new on-site systems in hospitals, commercial establishments, residential quarters etc with ease of operation and maintenance.

High Level of Microbe Concentration

Maintains a high level of microbe in bioreactor, which enhances treated quality water, requires small footprint and ensures robust biological process.

Long Sludge Age

A long sludge age achieves nitrification and denitrification much easier, operates more effectively in all climates, and less disposable sludge is produced

High Quality Effluent

Membranes ensure clear treated water and Ozone disinfection ensures pathogen-free treated water for non-potable reuse.

Low Energy Requirements

Modular BioGene systems contain minimal moving part that consumes less electricity.

Performance

Exceptional treated effluent exceeding requirements of NSF 350 reuse standards and most governmental authorities for discharge and for reuse.
